At Lalanna Design, our story is one of cultural fusion, deep-rooted friendships, and a passion for preserving the timeless beauty of Lanna heritage.

Saruta and Matthias first built their life together in Thailand, immersed in the vibrant rhythms of Lanna culture. After years in Thailand, the couple relocated to Switzerland, bringing with them the rich traditions of Saruta's homeland.

Central to our team is Panita, Saruta's best friend since childhood. Like Saruta, Panita is from the heart of Lanna, and she plays a vital role in sourcing authentic vendors across northern Thailand. Her deep connections ensure that every piece in our collection, from intricate handmade jewelry to elegant ethnic fashion and artisanal home décor, honors traditional techniques passed down through generations.

Today, from our base in Switzerland, Lalanna Design bridges these two worlds: the misty mountains and fertile valleys of northern Thailand with the majestic peaks of the Alps. We curate sustainable, handmade treasures that bring Lanna's elegant motifs, floral patterns, intricate weaves, and natural materials, into modern homes.
